WiFi File Transfer is an Android app that acts like a web server or file explorer which lets you upload or download files to/from your smart phone, tablet or computer over a wireless connection. It has got easy-to-use web interface and you do not need USB cable to transfer files between different devices. Without using USB connection, this Android app lets you securely (password protected) transfer multiple files to and from separate smart devices and PC at the same time. By using Google Chrome browser, you can even upload entire folder structures to phone. This app has got a built-in file manager that allows you to delete, rename, copy, zip or unzip files from mobile device by using computer browser over WiFi. WiFi file transfer runs as a background service so it won’t slow down your Android smart device. View photos on Android device directly in your PC web browser via integrated thumbnail gallery. How to Use

Install the app on your Android device from Google Play store. Open it and tap start button. It will present you a URL that you can open in any web browser on a separate device under same WiFi network. A nice web based interface will be loaded that will allow you to manage or transfer files from Android phone to other device or the other way around. File browser is a file manager that offers you to manage files from SD card, photos, pictures, music or videos. On the right side you can see the device status including storage space, battery level and WiFi status. File manager gives you complete control over files in mobile device and you can create new directories, zip or unzip files, download files to other device, and control files in every way you want.


  • Your computer and phone need to be on the same local area (or wlan) network

  • Free version cannot transfer files larger than 5 MB
  • If you’re using this app alongside other server apps such as ‘WebSharing’ or ‘Kies Air’, make sure they do not use the same port number
  • Entire folder can be transferred via Google Chrome only


  • If you use this app on public WiFi networks, make sure to set an access password in the app settings for data security
