Do you know what is a ‘Windows shared folder’? You can access your Android device (external storage, SD card) from Windows PC as a shared folder in network via WiFi. Its like a file sharing server for Android devices. By simple drag and drop, you can copy files to and from PC and Android.

Plus Points

  • Access your Android device (SD card, external storage) over wifi as a Windows network shared folder
  • Your Android device becomes visible to other Windows (and SMB compatible) computers on your network
  • Copy files and folders to and from your Android device using drag and drop

  • Works better for Android version up to Android ICS / 4.0.x
  • Your Android device must already be rooted
  • Superuser should be installed on Android (this or this)
  • On the first run, make sure you catch the SuperUser Auth request to allow the Samba Filesharing app root access

  • May not work properly for Android 4.1+ / Jelly Bean devices

  • If update for this app fails, try full uninstall and then re-install the latest version
