Get to know your smart device in detail. How do you select a smart device for you? May be by looking at the screen size, screen brightness, CPU, memory, mega pixels its camera can pull to take great shots? There are more to the details you should consider before purchasing your perfect smart device. When I bought my first Android device I did not know that many smart phones come with little internal memory that affects on apps usage. Little internal memory will restrict you to install and use more apps. You might even not be able to play your favorite games that require more memory in this case. Following Android apps will let you dig deep into system of your smart phone to know what your phone is capable of.

Normally you can explore the following areas of your Android device to know few information about your device:

Settings > About Phone
Settings > Storage
Settings > Applications (Application Settings)

Further more explore areas of ‘running services’, ‘manage applications’ and ‘storage use’ in ‘settings’ to know more… But if you want to dig deep into system, consider following apps for Android.

My favorite is CPU-Z because I have also been using this CPU identification tool for the Windows to get the motherboard information. When you need to download main board drivers, you need to know the motherboard’s model number. I used this software for Windows to get details about motherboard many times. For Android CPU-Z is a great choice to get all the system information.

It reports information about your device e.g. CPU architecture, cores, process, clock speed, strength of cores, CPU load, CPU vender, GPU renderer, system model, manufacturer, installed Android version, total RAM, available RAM, Internal storage, available internal storage, root access status, battery technology, temperature and status, sensors information and more.

Android 2.2 or above and one time online validation is required for this app to work.

Smart System Info

Next option in my opinion is ‘Smart System Info’ app for Android. It lets you find out all of the technical information about your Android tablet or smartphone including battery temperature, RAM usage, CPU usage and more. Information related to Android usage, software information, device information and connectivity are divided into relevant sections. You can see useful information such as uptime, model name and number, Android build, CPU usage and more.

App is ad supported and Android 2.1 or above version is required for this.

Device Info

Device Info lists out lots of useful information about your device’s hardware and software. It displays general information about your device, device identifiers, software information, display info, CPU and sensors information.

Download Device Info

Android Hardware Info provides information about the hardware capabilities of your Android device Including: system, display, processor, memory, cameras, graphics, features and sensors.

Phone Tester allows you to test the correct operation of many parts of your device (Android phone or tablet). You can test device’s sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, compass), Wifi (internal and external IP, gateway, DHCP server), telephony (signal, network type, external IP), GPS (satellites, latitude, longitude, speed), battery (health, level of charge), multitouch screen (how many fingers recognize your device?). It also displays system information about hardware and software like RAM, kernel version, screen and more.

More similar apps to consider are:
